David - As the founder of Affordable Solar, David used his passion and love for green technology as a way of trying to get this system of energy into use. He has been able to move forward with his passion because of the integrity of all the people in the industry; from the consumers to those selling the products. The challenges of making solar a viable industry have been difficult but as time has progressed, the mainstream has caught on and Affordable Solar has been able to make itself a reputable, honest company. As in most things in life, David is concerned with creating win-win scenarios; this includes things like getting more MPG, productive design, and anything that you can get the most output for the least input. As an avid cyclist, he is concerned with ensuring that the beauty of the earth is preserved.

Aaron - As a graduate of UNM in Physics, Aaron has been able to utilize his education to help with the design engineering of many of our projects. Affordable Solar allows freedom and self-accountability, which has allowed him to take steps to help improve the organization. With camaraderie and support, and management’s faith in individual’s abilities, each individual has proven themselves to be significant toward the success of the organization. This position has also helped Aaron to take part in the green movement and become part of the solution to our sustainability problems.

Jonathan - Years of experience in low voltage electrical work as well as working in the service industry have helped Jonathan to excel at Affordable Solar. Working here offers many challenges in grasping the product line and helping customers to integrate the best possible system to meet their needs. He was drawn here because he is striving to make the world a cleaner place to ensure a sustainable environment. His favorite word is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilocovolcanoconiosis. Try that two times fast.

Nate - He began his career at Affordable Solar in 1998 as the first employee and has only grown in his passion for the field. Nate has designed and installed solar systems from New Mexico to Antarctica, and is always looking for opportunities to work with solar in other places. Nate also brings a love for New Mexico and the possibility for growth and development for the state. The culture of the organization has helped to foster his abilities and allowed him to build a great career. Nate has also at the forfront of the Native American Renewable Power Project.

Mark - Comes to us with a background in Computer and Information Sciences. Mark’s experience includes: Software and Hardware Engineer, Nuclear Safeguards, Computer networking, technical writing, tech support, database creation and maintenance. He brings with him his love for the environment. His personal beliefs about the environment, mesh well with the company vision and he feels that his working for Affordable Solar strengthens his efforts to protect the environment before it is too late. The multidisciplinary work encourages him to move forward with his daily work and offers the ability to live out his passion in a fulfilling way.

Jean - has a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of London.. Her work experience since then includes electric distribution engineering, environmental scientist and energy consultant specializing in energy efficiency. She started in the renewable field in 1999 and feels that her ability to impact the environment includes helping others towards their sustainability goals. Jean is also involved in organizing the Annual Solar Fiesta for New Mexico.

Johnny - With a background in Visual Communication from IAIA, Johnny brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the field. He has always shown love for the environment and knows that working here will offer him the chance to spring board his career in the solar field. The work environment is oriented on developing relationships and putting your heart into the work, which has allowed him to grown into his own in his position.

Nestor - Working his way through the ranks, Nestor has moved from envelope stuffer to Shipping Warehouse Manager. Working here is providence; it is a great place to work with people that care about the individual. The environment is filled with gracious, real people who bring a sense of family, which really gives individuals the chance to flourish. In his free time, Nestor enjoys Thai Boxing, Philosophizing, and going to school.

Susan - She brings a wealth of experience in service management, and sales service. She is challenged daily and realizes her significance in the organization as an individual. Working at a high speed pace and working with the great group of people makes it easy to make Affordable Solar a success. The company culture lends itself to individuals and their success as an interracial part of the success of the company, which only helps to motivate each individual.

Sherry - Having spent many years in sales, Sherry brings a great personality and an awesome ability to work with people. This job has offered her great independence, which allows her to really show herself as an invaluable asset to the organization. She was first drawn to Affordable Solar because she is an environmentalist at heart and believes passionately that the future is still in our hands.

Robert - As the baby of our team, Robert brings to life the spontaneity and youth to our environment. He knows that working here has given him the opportunity to take steps toward a sustainable environment. As an avid motorcyclist, he developed a love for the environment and knows that by working here is he is able to make an impact on where we are headed. Robert also plays in a local Metal Band, Saturday Night Riott .

Jim – As a graduate from the University of Connecticut, Jim utilizes his skills in Management Information Systems to help the computer side of Affordable Solar run smoothly. He has found the job to be challenging and exciting because of the multiple disciplines that he has had the opportunity to work with. Jim finds that working in this environment has helped him to gain a broader knowledge in the solar field, which has helped to increase his awareness in the sustainable frontier. Outside of work, he is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys video games.

Craig – He began his relationship with Affordable Solar as a customer who eventually became an employee. Prior to coming to Affordable Solar, Craig owned his own meat business. The work environment is conducive to his personality and the atmosphere and people have really helped him to feel at home here. Craig also lives off the grid as he always wanted to become energy independent, and with the help of Affordable Solar, he was able to achieve that goal.

Christa – A graduate from the University of New Mexico in Economics and a minor in business, she brings her experience and cheerful personality to the team. It was fate that she began her career at Affordable Solar. She loves the flexibility of the organization, which helps her to balance her work and personal life.

Bob – Has a MBA from Tulane University. He has years of experience under his belt and came out of retirement for the excitement of working at a company, which is at the cutting edge in the solar field. On his free time, Bob enjoys training for marathons and going on solo backpacking endurance competitions.
