Hopefully protects equipment from nearby lightning strikes. The PV Positive Bus provides a convenient place to wire in the positive side of the PV Array and attach a lightning
arrestor. With a DC breaker, could also be used as a small array combiner. This terminal accepts Leg 1 from a generator or from the utility. This terminal accepts Leg 2 from a generator or from the utility. The incoming neutral (generator, utility) will connect here along with the inverter neutral output. This is connected to inverter output, leg 1. This is connected to inverter output, leg 2. Handy place to wire positive incoming RE sources. AC main service panel ground and also the inverter ground connect here. The DC negative bus-bar provides a DC negative connection point for any DC loads or PV Panels in the installation. 500 amp/50 mV shunt. The shunt is provided so that a Battery Monitor, which is used to determine the battery bank’s state of charge, may be easily connected without any rewiring. DC Breaker used to disconnect the battery bank from the inverter as 15 required by the National Electric Code (NEC). This breaker is also used as an overcurrent device to protect against extremely high currents that a battery is capable of producing if any short circuits occur. A variety of DC Breaker options are available from MidNite Solar. Holds up to six 13mm wide AC or DC breakers. Used mainly to mount the GFP and charge controller breakers. Holds up to six 13mm wide AC or DC breakers. Comes pre-wired from Midnite Solar with the AC bypass and the incoming AC disconnects.
