Now you can order the XW 6048 Inverter/Charger that has the flexibility to configure for single and three phase applications! The XW 6048 (part number 865-1000-01) is a standard split phase inverter 120:240V and can now be used in one of three ways: - Split phase inverter
- Single phase inverter
- Three phase inverter (three inverters configured in single phase and run together as three phase)
The configuration for the single or three phase applications (part number 865-1000-01 only) is done in the field with these three simple steps*: - 1). Installation of jumpers to reconfigure the transformer to 120V (jumpers provided)
- 2). Download and install the new XW 6048-1000-01 firmware version for 120V operation (click here)
- 3). Set parameters for single or three phase configuration using the XW SCP

Xantrex expects the system designer to use the XW Charge Controller with their inverters. Their sizing tools assume the XW Charge Controller. Most importantly, Xantrex handles the Ground Fault Protection (required by National Electric Code 2008 in all systems) in the charge controller.
